After Eight Clinics for your older dog These are run by our qualified Veterinary Nurses for dogs over 8 years of age and are FREE. We normally send you an invitation to attend one of our clinics once a year. We ask you to bring a sample of your pet’s urine, as fresh as possible, with you to the clinic where we test for early signs of liver & kidney problems and diabetes. There is also a sheet of questions we would like you complete before you come, it just saves time when you get to the clinic. The appointment is normally for 30-minutes giving you ample time to discuss any concerns you may have about your dog with the nurse. The nurse will give your pet a check over and discuss any concerns she may have with you. There may be things the nurse is unable to deal with because it requires a Veterinary Surgeon to make a diagnosis. We may be able to transfer you to a Vet at this stage but if not we will ask you to make an appointment to see a Vet at a later time; unfortunately this is not free!. These clinics are invaluable in picking up the early stages of problems associated wth the older dog. We can advise on diet for the senior pet, problems with mobility, lumps and bumps that may have appeared and those senior moments that even dogs get; as well as general worming, flea control and vaccinations. Come along to one of our clinics and see what we have to offer for your old friend. |
