Following various changes to Government rules and regulations (mostly from Europe!), we have had to change the way we provide our 'Out of Hours' cover. Instead of our own Vets & Nurses being on-call for emergencies that occur during the night and at weekends, we are now using a company called "Vets Now" to provide 'Out of Hours' cover. Vets Now provide 'Emergency and Out of Hours' cover to Veterinary Practices all over the country and our Vets Now location is in Milton Keynes.

Vets Now offer:-

• Experienced Veterinary Surgeons & Nurses with a minimum of two years post graduation experience, with additional qualifications/study in emergencey medecine and surgery.
• Dedicated service - their Veterinary Surgeons & Nurses only work nights so they are not tired, what ever time you call!
• Home visit if clinically essential for the pet, but majority of pets are best treated at their clinic.
• They have many centres across the UK so we gain from their previous experience at other locations.
• Out of Hours service only so our Veterinary Surgeons & Nurses are not tired from working all day then being on-call and working the next day too!

We will be in close contact with Vets Now regarding on-going cases, where  the owners may be worried about their pet, so that they have the relevant histories. Alternatively, we may give you a copy of your pet's clinical notesd, in case an out-of-hours consultation might be appropriate. Vets Now Veterinary Surgeons & Nurses will give telephone advice and contacting them does not commit you to a consultation.
